In the mid 1980's Vice Admiral James A. "Ace" Lyons and Dick Marcinko devise a new, super-secret security unit to test the Navy's antiterrorist capabilities. Marcinko, who is to command the unit, dubs it Red Cell. He decides he will be like Mao Zedong's revolutionary guerrillas, "moving through the masses like a fish through water." Red Cell launches a mock-terror attack against the nuclear submarine base in New London, Connecticut. Red Cell shooters plant improvised explosive devices aboard the unguarded subs. The base commander is outraged -- at Marcinko. In the tradition of Pearl Harbor, Red Cell launches a weekend raid on the Pt. Mugu Naval Air Station, just south of Santa Barbara, California. The team "blows up" Air Force One. In the wake of the kidnapping of General Dozier, Red Cell makes Red Brigade-style raids on U.S. military personnel in Italy, kidnapping and "killing" several important Naval officers. Marcinko makes enemies in high places with his no-holds-barred, take-no-prisoners tactics. The powers that be decide Marcinko has to go. He is summarily dismissed from his command of Red Cell and put under investigation. In the early 1990's Red Cell is disbanded.

    After the successful infiltration of Indian commando’s into the USAF Shiloh Launch Facility the Joint Chiefs looked into ways of making security at sensitive bases better. The Navy Representative to the Joint Chiefs, a SEAL, brought up the then dissolved Red Cell. Within a month a plan to resurrect the Cell was presented to the Chairman. Under the plan Red Cell would report and take orders directly from the Joint Chiefs, and would ‘serve’ the whole U.S. Military instead of just the Navy.
    The newly created unit was given to Commander Trailer Court, a member of Red Cell back in the 1980’s (When he was an ensign.) The unit consisted of 14 members, 2 officers, and 12 enlisted personnel; all of them were pulled from SEAL Team 6. They were headquartered in Washington, DC at Andrews Air Force Base, so that they could be watched over easily. Their first job was the Shiloh Launch Facility, which according to rumors in the Spec-War community they slipped in and out without problems; the results have since been labeled Top Secret. Throughout 2010 Red Cell worked on sensitive bases across the country, mainly working on Nuclear Sub Bases and Missile Launch Facilities. For the next several years Red Cell worked as it had in the past, testing and upgrading security at US Bases and Embassies worldwide.
    In early 2012 the Joint Chiefs redesigned the purpose of the Cell. With the trouble the Indians had been making, and the so-called magical abilities possessed by Howling Coyote and his followers, the Joint Chiefs gave Red Cell true Counter-Terrorist powers (So they would be a smaller version of SEAL Team 6). Also the Chiefs gave Red Cell the ability and power to run ‘black’ operations so that the Chiefs would have a black group with which to run operations. During this year Red Cell changed Commanding Officers as Commander Mike Williams took over, Comdr. Court moved onto the War College located in Carlisle, PA.
    In late 2012 into 2013 Red Cell split up into 2 7-man squads, also known as Boat Teams. Alpha Team was given the jobs of testing security for the Military while Bravo Team was tasked to keeping tabs on Howling Coyote and his followers. Bravo, led by the XO Matt Walters, followed Howling Coyote all over the country as he rallied his ‘troops’ in preparation for what we now know as the Great Ghost Dance.
    Near the end of 2013 Alpha Team linked up with Bravo and so the whole 14-man team followed Howling Coyote around. This was ordered by the Joint Chiefs after reports of increased unusual and paranormal activities that Bravo was observing. In 2014 when Howling Coyote announced the formation of the NAN, Red Cell was ordered to shadow him so that they would be in position to strike if they were needed to.
    When the Dance blew Redondo Peak Red Cell was there, but were ordered to Stand Down until the 6^th Air Cavalry arrived. But the 6^th Cav’ never showed and for reasons that none of the 14 Red Cell members can explain Howling Coyote Disappeared along with his followers, while Red Cell watched. Videotapes made by Red Cell have not revealed any reason as to why or how they disappeared. Had Red Cell not been ordered to Stand Down and had gone along with a covert attack the NAN might have never been formed, but we will never know.
    Following this display of Power by the NAN, Red Cell split back up into it’s two Teams and went to work, Alpha Team going back to security exercises, while Bravo was tasked to find and shadow Howling Coyote. It wasn’t until mid 2015 that Bravo Team caught up the Howling Coyote, and when they did they were ordered to Shadow and report, to avoid all confrontation.
    With the new President’s Executive order in 2016 Bravo Team was given the go-ahead to start neutralizing NAN leaders. They neutralized mainly people they viewed to be military leaders, but they were never able to get close to Howling Coyote himself, everytime they tried he avoided them, like he had a sixth sense. The week leading up to August 17, 2017 disturbed the Team out in the field. They watched as 4 times the usual amount of people arrived, and they all had this weird sense about them. Bravo Team lost contact with their Communication Satellites shortly before the eruptions, and did not regain communication for more than 8 hours afterward. They were unable to do anything as they watched the Indians do their Dance, and then disperse. They tried to follow Howling Coyote but, as he had before, he disappeared from underneath them. Bravo was recalled to Andrew’s on August 18, but they had recorded 18 confirmed kills in the time they were out.
    After Bravo’s recall to Washington the two teams linked up together and went back to security duties, which they continued to handle through 2029. Goblinization did not affect Red Cell at all, no members goblinized. Throughout the 20’s Red Cell did mostly security duties, it is rumored they did some black operations into the NAN but no evidence for or against has ever been found, they concentrated on U.S. Bases in Seattle, California, and the states neighboring the newly formed NAN.
    The 2030’s where the complete opposite of the 20’s for Red Cell. The crash of ’29 only had good repercussions on the Cell, as they didn’t use computers much. But the 30’s were a time of change for them, they acquired the first magically active member, a SEAL from Team Eight that had attended UCLA&M for 2 years. Also in 2033 Red Cell got their first Decker, officially he was a computer specialist. The addition of Canada in 2030 gave Red Cell more area to cover, so during the 30’s they mainly tested bases in Canada. In 2034 with the secession of the CAS, Red Cell was sent down into the newly formed country to retrieve UCAS assets. In 2035 Red Cell's first CO USN Cpt. Richard Marchinko (ret.) died of cancer, in his will he left the UCAS govt. his home Rogue Manor to use as Red Cell's Home Base and training ground.
    On January 1, 2033 Alpha Team was infiltrated into war torn Europe to help with the NightWraith Strike. They designated targets with Laser Designators as well as destroying key anti-air sites. After the strike they stayed in Europe acting in the UCAS’s bests interests, they stayed until 2040 serving in a 6 months on, 3 months off cycle. Bravo Team kept busy testing security, and in 2035 they inserted into the newly formed Tir Tangire to have a look see at their new neighbor, and in 2037 they went into California to secure UCAS assets in the new country.
    In 2039, shortly after the infamous Night of Rage, Bravo Team was sent on reconning runs to keep eyes on the main racist groups in the country, so that another night like that could be thwarted before it happened. The aftermath of that night subsided and Bravo Team was sent back to it’s standard security checks. Alpha Team returned in 2040 and linked back up with Bravo in the security checks.
    In 2041 Red Cell got a third Team. Called the Red Eagles they were 7 vehicle specialists that would support the other two teams as well as partake in their own CT work. They were created after the EuroAir Flight was attacked and destroyed by a Dragon. They consisted of several fighters, helicopters, and ground vehicles. They are designed to take out terrorist craft threatening UCAS interests, or in the case of the EuroAir Flight to respond and destroy marauding paranormal terrorists. They were also designed to support any ‘black’ operations Red Cell might engage in, that way they wouldn’t have to rely on the UCAS Air Force’s SOW.
    Red Cells activites since 2052 are unkown. But it is known that in 2052 Red Eagle was disbanded in favor of each team having it’s own Rigger instead. In 2053 the team size was upped to 16 people when they added two more riggers.
